Clay glared at the crystal he’d torn from Keira’s hands. “This, this right here. This is bullshit. I’m gonna throw it in the goddamn Atlantic.”
“Sure, do that,” Gibson said. “See how well she’ll take it when she wakes up.”
Clay’s anger melted away at that, replaced by a worn expression that mirrored Gibson’s own. “God damn.”
